FAQ for New Students
Is there a change of partners during a lesson?
Yes, during the practice drill sections, students rapidly rotate partners. Learning to dance with different people is a core skill of social dancing and accelerates your learning.
For Couples: In the partnering sections of the class, couples are paired together, while other students rotate with one another and the instructors.
How do I progress after a lesson?
At the end of each workshop, you get a list of songs suitable with a pace and clarity of rhythm for practice.
You’ll learn easy to remember steps and mini routines in class. This helps you to practice at home or in any parties with confidence.
Do you offer more dance styles or intermediate workshops?
Yes, we organize dance practice workshops from time to time for students from groups, workshops and private lessons to practice together. This is especially useful to improve partnering skills with dancers of all levels.
When are upcoming workshops? What other dance styles?
To Yes, we teach other Latin dances including Bachata, Merengue, Rumba, and Cha-Cha in private lessons and workshops.
Salsa provides a great foundation for partner dance mechanics like connection, frame, and rhythm. It is faster to learn other styles once you understand Salsa basics and partnering skills. You can comfortably pick up the basics of these other dances in just a few private sessions or workshops after learning Salsa.
Can I Learn Ballroom and Social Dancing If I Have Two Left Feet or A Weak Sense of Rhythm?
Yes, as confirmed by the ability of generations of dancers who enjoy dancing for years.
